Vermillion Bay Fishing
 

Got a vacation planned for next week. Do yall think that it will be worth fish Vermillion Bay? Is anyone catching? I plan to fish Cocodrie and Dularge after Christmas but I would like to fish close to home next week.

I doubt it will be any good with the river rising over 13 feet.

Post results if you go. Been down with surgery for 5 weeks and it has been killing me that I cannot fish. I got to live through you guys for a bit. I fish the bay all the time but there have not been any post about it for some time now.

Still a few trout being caught in the cove if you get any tide movement.

How about T-Butte? Anyone made a run out that way lately?

Will do thanks. I can't get out there until after christmas. I am hoping there will still be some trout in the Lake at that time.

You should be able to do ok in the bay, i may make a trip on the 23rd.

still a few fish being caught and the bay and the best thing is that there are a lot fewer boats now

Fished the cove in my yak Monday. Water was good but only caught 2 trout, both nice size. Maybe this warm weather will get them going, salinty levels still good enough for the trout to hang around.

Any Vbay Fisherman since ByCatch Monday????????

Think everyone is either hunting or Santa passed early and gave everyone a case of lock jaw for Christmas. Its been kinda windy early in the week.

Sorry for the late report. Caught Thur and Friday in the cove area. Caught under a cork and on the bottom. Dark colors seemed to work the best.

yes ,went today caught 50.blue point shoreline.
