It was 29* the other morning . . .
 
Had a mess of fried rabbit tonite . . . mashed potatoes, butter beans, squash, and homemade bisquits . . . with gravy . . . I love winter! . . .

My friend brought a Jackrabbit to the fishing camp a few years ago and we cooked it up with the turkey fries, backstrap, squirrel . . . I got a piece of that jackrabbit and chewed on it for 10 mintes and spit it out . . . the dog chewed on it for 10 minutes and spit it out . . . that rabbit was wearin worn out Michelins . . . had about 100,000 miles on him . . . some things you just don't forget! . . .

I tried to eat some in Rocksprings, Tx. when I was still in high school. Few Coonasses who went there were chomping at the bit to kill and cook them big things.
Ranch owner said to go ahead and shoot all we wante.
They don't get tender and they don't taste good.
No fat on them, not much meat and tough, tough, tough.

Im sure if you was hongry enough youd eat it....soak it in tenderizer for about 5 days and it would eat well..
