Lydia area

i just moved near lydia and was wondering how to fish the upper canals off the iberia canal and the intracoastal. even into the bay. i noticed on my particular canal there are a few marshes and bayous feeding into it, and a few gas canals. just thought i'd get some insight before i start heading out in a month.

Pretty good fishing for bass in that area. Launch at the bayou patout landing just before the draw bridge. Go slow untill you learn the area,it can get shallow at the mouths of the canals on low tide. Fish the drains dumping into the main canals. For baits a white 1/4 oz humdinger spinnerbait, shallow diving crankbaits, and plastic worms have worked for me in the past. Been 2 years or so since I fished the area but I am sure not much has changed. Good luck!

thank you very much montauk. i'll actually be launching from bayou jack, but all the waterways up there are connected. that helps alot. by the way, i love the avatar.
