Myself a buddy and my step son braved the cold and wind to try to find some trout ! Well first stop first cast .... Fish on !!! But that was it, no more bite. Moved around a bit with not much luck ! 5 trout hit box all morning ! It's not easy keeping an 8 year old intrested when it's slow so we headed to shallow water for red fish. Didn't take long . Caught reds till it was time to go ! Kept some grilling size reds and let the rest swim ! Skull draggerz grubs and eels did the job did the job again !

Nice catch! I bet he had fun when you got into the reds.

He had a blast with them reds ! He hooked one that didnt give him a chance to reel... jerk- drag- pop ! Yea Ryan is was a chillyyyyy !

That is why I use braid,dont have to worry bout popped lines. ;)

That has to be the WORST CURSE there is, First cast fish on that is!, I can't tell you how many times first cast Trout on then the rest of the trip sucked! Now when i make my first cast it's two feet from the boat! Good times with the reds though, nothing wrong with that! Try putting some mayo, blackening seasoning and shredded Parmesan cheese on them reds next time you put them on the grill, good stuff

I usually feel the same way,but a few trips I caught on the first cast were on fire all day. Never tried mayo on redfish but parmesan cheese about 5 mins before it's done is on point!

" Worst curse " seem to happen alot !
My other worst curse is if the net is out we not catching, no the net stays in the storage box at all times ! Except for trout over 5 lbs ! Lol
