people who know!

What's the opinions of the salty cajun family on the heavy rains we got?
How long will the salt water be messed up,if any ? What I'm trying to say when to get back fishing.

Depends on where you are fishing, if I was 30 miles out in the gulf, I would feel the salinity would not change much, however if you are in the Calcasieu River...:)

Look here to see what effect the rains have had on the salinity in the upper river.

How long will the water stay "fresh" up north in Prien Lake area?

IMO....If we don't get any more rain, or very little, maybe in 10 days to 2 weeks the salinity will start to come up some. It may take 2 to 3 weeks before there will lots of trout in the Prien Lake area.

If it rains some more...... no telling when the salinity will come up and large number of trout return to the area.

But like Shaw reported, there are still some trout in the area.
