Where is this place in the Atchafalaya ?

I'm pretty sure I'm not spelling this right but if you have heard of it, you'll get it. The place I'm looking for is called Grevinburg. I have not been there in more than 10 years and I only went a few times. I would LOVE to go back.

It's off the G.A. cut out of sandy cove launch. Take the little bayou to buffalo cove an then you have to go thru the boat trail thru the woods to enter the lake. I haven't been in years either but I hear it's not like it was back in the day. We used to catch an ice chest full of big bream back there like it was nothing.

Do you know if there are any maps that show the way there. Also need to know where Sandy Cove launch is PLEASE !

I went in last year and it was choked up with grass and lillys. North of the entrance to the lake along the cypress trees is good fishing for bass.

Sandy cove launch is south of fausse point state park along the levee. Pass up fausse point state park and look for a road on your left about a mile or so,cross over a small pit and your at the launch into the GA cut. Standard map for fausse point/dautreve should show that area.

Yeah that whole area 20 years ago was all open in the trees now it chock full of lillies. Ever since they changed the river water flow thru there it's been bad! Lots if silted up areas in that part off the basin too.

Mr1 giveme a minute and I'll draw up a map for you.

Yep....I always do better at mommas pond, crew boat, and beehive. I remember some spots in the basin I fished as a kid had 8 foot of water, now it's a foot or less.

Bring a push pole if you not familiar with the area.....surface or tunnel hull would be even better. When I went last year we went in my podnas gator tail and the lillys were very bad.

I don't know what kind of boat you have but as long as the water is at 8.5 or better at butte larose you can go thru the shortcut straight off the ga across from where Ruiz comes out in a regular joe boat. It goes straight into Grevinberg save you 15min of riding and no swamp trail
30.009125,-91.548136 (Jeanerette, LA 70544, United States) this should be it
