Got lucky and found a school of reds right before we were gonna call it quits. A Big girl got tricked too. 6 reds 1 big trout and one dink. I hope this rain don't screw things up for Friday. I'm gonna try em again if I can

Nice fish!

Jo-boater 01-25-2012 12:58 PM

How much did that big speck weigh?

mr crab 01-25-2012 01:05 PM

I don't have a scale, but she was a tad over 26" and really fat. I guess 6.5 -7 lbs, but a pure guess though.

SaltERedneck 01-25-2012 01:06 PM

that trout is a fatty! same size as your biggest red!

Jo-boater 01-25-2012 01:07 PM

Catch them on artificial or live bait?

PaulMyers 01-25-2012 01:11 PM

That's a nice mess of fish you got there.

Thanks for the report and pic.

All on Chartruese Gulps and Salt and Pepper assasins. But the weird thing is that we were drifting with that school of reds for almost an hour, and that is a pic of every fish we caught that night. Not to sound greedy, but when the fish are blowing up the water all around the boat like they were, I expect to catch a whole lot more fish! We caught all of those fish in the first 15 minutes of getting on the school, then no more bites! We chunked every color of tail imaginable, changed presentations and even tied on a popping cork, all to no avail. Has anybody else ever experienced a situation like that?

I was wondering when the goo references would start flying. Spell check is still free isn't it.
