Where to take the wife & kids this weekend?

Staying at a camp Sunday & Monday and I want to put the wife and 2 kids on some reds. Just want a few to bite. It looks like a front will come thru and dump a little rain and drop the temps.

Any ideas where to go since the weirs are no longer. We are staying on the West bank Near Joe Dugas.

With all the fresh water I figure reds may be our only shot.

If it was me, Salt Ditch or Kelso Bayou

If by v bay sometime let me know.
But I would look for a outlet of a canal or river. Sence most of the gulf flow is east to west then the higher salt will be on the east side.
I sonar the Ridge were depth drops from 3 foot to 5 .
Anchor on shore side of drop about 10 foot from drop and 300 yards from mouth of river.
Best time is falling tide . After front. Use shrimp and good weight to set in rip tide.
Hope ur kid wackes um good and hope u post vid of the fight.
Sandy bottom good too.
Good luck

We fished salt ditch for the tourney on saturday. Didnt produce much at all. However, we were pretty limited on how and where to fish due to the terrible conditions.
