I heard when the run was cancelled Saturday(18th I think?), some guy on a horse got hit by a car that night on Dave Dugas heading west from the He's not here lounge. I never saw anything on the news or newspaper about it. Did anybody else hear about this?

Yes Pat, it was my father in law who hit the horse. About 7 a night pitch dark, overcast and two horses were walking down dave dugas. Both horses had riders on them. Father in law hit second horse breaking both back legs of horse, totaling their Yukon. Girl flew over the truck and guy was knocked off horse. Both taken to hospital but were both fine. Horse had to be shot. Not sure of names but guy was 23 years old from Carlyss.

Dang Corey, glad father in law is okay. My brother's buddy almost hit them, but he swerved in time, said you couldn't see them till you were on them. When he passed again, he saw the wreck with the horse kicking around in the ditch. Wonder why it never made the news?

If had happened in N. Lake Charles it would have been all over KPLC and Cynthia would have had it as a headline:pissed:
