Update on Brandi

My dad called me and my brother when we were having lunch at Rotollo's informing us that they have moved my cousin, Brandi into a hospice in Nashville. We decided that we will leave sometime tonight and head up there to be with the family and Brandi. Please continue to pray for us and Brandi and for the safe trip up there in these times.

Thank you guys and girls for your prayers. I just got back home after the 10 hour ride back. I walked in her room around 0900 and she woke up and saw me and Aunt Licia (her mom) and my mom (her nanny) talking and when her eyes hit mine, she picked up the pain pump switch and kept acting like she was pressing it which made us all laugh. I said "goodbye" to Brandi around 10 this morning which was hard. She seems to be in good spirits and laughed when I told her she had a funny haircut (she has patches here and there). Her sisters and mom and dad seem to be in good spirits as well. Seems like she has a 2nd family in Tennessee as the bar (3rd and Lindsley, very cool place by the way if you're ever in Nashville) sends whatever food they want every night at no charge. She keeps having dreams about red beans and rice, jambalaya, eating crawfish and gumbo which we found entertaining. Its really hard to tell someone goodbye as I told her I loved her and she said I love you too Charlie which I will never forget. I even find it hard typing this without shedding a tear or two. Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers.

It's tough to say those goodbyes. Leave it now for the hands of God to bring her comfort and peace. You may never forget that goodbye but you'll never regret not getting to say it either.

Glad ya made it back safe.

I know what you mean, when my Paw Paw died in 07, I had a chance to say goodbye but I couldn't take seeing him in that state he was in so I didn't. Its a decision I regret to this day.

Thanks Corey, you know how to keep it real
Iron Man, you have grown a great deal through this and there is certainly more for us that remain here to learn than those that go before us in these times.

Prayers have been sent for sure.
