Yak in a Truck

Thinking about getting myself a Yak. Have a ford f150 with the short bed. Is there any special way ya'll carry your yaks in your truck? Do you just strap them down on top of the tailgate with the tailgate up? Is there a "yak carrier" that works well for a pickup?

I have a Ford super crew and just stick mine in the bed and tie it down.

I have a chevy avalanche and leave the tailgaite down. slap a red flag on the back and crank that sucker down. no problems.

Tailgate open diagonally in the bed. I have the same truck. That's for a 12'
