Pox, its all paved roads not far from downtown, no cypress trees and lots of 2&3 story homes with docks in the water. I'm sure someone has a picture.

Uncle Barty 03-10-2012 10:01 AM

Where did you find those old pictures? Are they from a website?

jchief 03-10-2012 10:02 AM

Wait, that is Chicago.

Here is the best I can do right now. I know I have seen a couple of pics somewhere else

Dang it, zoom in on A and look around. That is the same area.

Sorry, move to the southwest, where shellbeach meets lake and look around

This view is from the North side of the lake, the old pic was taken from the South side... The Civic Center (bldg in center of picture), and the land it sits on didnt exsist on the old pic...

jchief 03-10-2012 10:21 AM

Can't find the pic I am looking for.

The original picture is from the southwest side of the lake looking towards the east/northeast.

This pic is on the north side of the lake looking back to the southwest. Same area as the original except from a different angle.

I am planning on going to LC later today and I will try and remember to snap a picl

The tall white building on the left in the original is the same one on the right in the last pic I posted and it is center frame on Hydro's

I'll try to find the ones from when F Miller & Sons blew up the old wooden 171 bridge coming into Moss Bluff. When I find them I'll post them in a new thread.
