Calcasieu River 3/17/12
 

Started this a.m. on westfork, slung 5 on baby brushhogs junebug with 1/8th oz. weight.
Loaded up and launched at the 171 launch and headed north. I'd be lieing if I told you the name of the areas we fished. I can count on 2 hands the # of times I've fished north of 171. Ended up doing my thing, and finding some fish. Slung 27-30 green fish this eve. Most caught on bream color spinner bait with double gold willowleaf, junebug brushhawgs, and texas rigged senkos.
Alot of small fish. Managed a decent 4 lber off the bed, once my buddy flipped in and caught the male, I was able to pull the 4. Seems the tighter you could get your bait to the bank/trees/grass the more hits you got.
