LaAngler 09-11-2009 09:20 AM

I'm not in love, i just find this topic interesting

Bruce, my first was a disaster! - We could have not been more different, but we ended up getting married. My dad pleaded with me not to do it, even offering to cover for me at the church, but I thought he was just being an a$hole. Two kids, and one divorce later, I am so glad she is not sleeping in the same bed as me! I don't regret getting married to her, only the fact that I figured out what the outcome would be after having two boys. I have joint custody of my little men, and keep them 50% of the year, so I try to do the right thing.

Now, I am married to the best woman in the world. I knew it would be different w/ her, but I still waited to marry her, just out of fear from the first. She is awesome! We have the same interest, get along great, and I can honestly say that after almost 4 years, I am the happiest I have ever been. You will know when you have the right one, just remember that if you can't communicate with them before you get married, you damn sure can't communicate with them after your hitched!

its really great if you have the right one. I got a good one, she spoils me rotten. Better than I deserve, but Im not telling, hah.

Happily married for 7 years.

We will be celebrating our 10th anniversary next April!:grinpimp: Wouldn't change much though, its great having someone that you know cares about you and will always be there for you no matter what. The biggest adjustment is that you can't do whatever you want whenever you want, there are some compromises that have to be made. Dang responisbilities, don't worry most of that comes after you have kids though.

Finfeatherfur 09-11-2009 09:30 AM

Killa - that's funny right there son!!!!!!! lol!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Happily married for 7, having 10th" ........... I got to remember that one!!!!!!!!!!!

killa k 09-11-2009 09:37 AM

Another benefit is that after you've said "I do" you can fart whenever you want, without fear...unfortunatley so can she.

After 29 years (Sept.19) of marital 'bliss', I don't think I would have changed anything. I just advise my 19 year old son, "Just make sure someone in her family fishes and hunts". That way she will know what she's getting into. If it were not for my wife, I would be dead or in prison...

Very Happily married for 7 years on monday. I would not change anything. As FinFeatherFur said it perfectly communication is the lifeline of a marraige no matter how long you are married.

Its been 16 years of marriage and 5 years of dating before that. My wife never did like to hunt or fish-enjoys the boat ride though. Although after 16 years she might be coming around on the fishing, she let me buy her a fishing license this week. Her second one since weve been married, her first one was to go crabbing-liked that. She never has complained about me going fishing or hunting though. My dad always told me make sure to watch how she treats her dad, cause thats porbably how shes gonna treat you. Found one that was crazy about her dad,and wouldnt you know it shes crazy about me.

So long as you find the "right" woman there is one very simple rule.... KEEP THE FIGHTS CLEAN AND THE SEX DIRTY..... words of wisdom given by older men that i thought were crazy!!! that is until i got older and walked in their shoes!!
