Was jammed up with lillys when I passed over last friday...You can still launch at the rest of the private launches past kerns, between all of them one should be clear of lillys. Water is still high but heard the bass and sacalait are biting in the butte la rose canal.

Cypress Cove is closed but McGee's is open and the launch is clear. Just passed by this afternoon.

Yeah it's one of the nicer launches. Has a good resturant too. Yes it can get busy on weekends but not too bad. Be careful of stumps if your not familiar with the lake.

No prob.....good place to try is the amaco canal northeast of mcgees landing. If you look on google maps it is the fist lil cut to the left. It goes northwest a lil ways then dog legs to the north. Flip and punch grass lillys and trees with a zoom baby brush hog. Good spot for bream n sacalait too if your into that.

Don't know why Cypress Cove is closed. Didn't stop - just saw a sign near the top of the levee saying that the launch was closed. May be because the water is so high. The water at the launch in Butte Larose on the canal is really high also now. Haven't been to the public launch on I-10 in a while.
