New Area

as ive been posting im in chalmette and have been fishing this area in the evenings. I was looking for some help on what yall look for

when you get to a new area what are the key things you look for when picking a place to fish. this area in delacroix im fishing is huge. i have been having pretty good luck but i can't take credit i was wondering around aimlessly in pointe finny when an old man started waving his hands and told me to come help him catch some of these fish (this would never happen at big lake) so this being said i would like to see what yall use to pick somewhere to fish when trying a new area
