Fun day
Had some of the family in from Kentucky. By the time everybody got moving and set we did not hit the water till about 11:30. Not bad because this limited the time on the water and I knew all would be sun burned quickly.

This happened to be the biggest of the day also. It was just over 9 pounds http://www.ctfisherman.com/ubbthread...-38855-002.JPG Seeing it was a family fun trip I went exploring new areas. Found a lot of fish in back water areas. A lot of rat reds to weed through but did manage 8 for the box and one black drum. Managed about 3 1/2 hours on the water. The bay boat ran well and the more I use it the more I like it. Still not ready to give up the Glaycer Bay or the offshore fishing for years to come. http://www.ctfisherman.com/ubbthread...-38856-004.JPG Some of the guys are bringing some nice speckled trout to the docks. I have yet to even begin to look for them or run across them. Did have an asian carp almost jump in my boat when I was in yellow cotton bay. It hit the side of my motor cowling. Life is Good! Fishing is not a matter of life or death. It's more important than that. CAPT HOOP -- OUR FREEDOM |
