Okuma rods and reels?

What's you guys think about this brand/setup ? I hear about all the others, but not much on the Okuma brand.

I really like the inspira and epixor spinning reels...I have been using them for about 10 yrs now and have absolutely no complaints. For the money you just cant beat them. I have used them while wade fishing and have had them completely submerged, and they are still silky smooth after a good rinsing. Never used the rods or their baitcasting reels so can't vouch for them.

I have an Epixor and really like it. Have it spooled with 20lb power pro.

Good rods and reels. I have a few inspiras, real smooth and durable. Never had any problems

i have one of their bait casters and im not a big fan. kinda crappy for the money. i had one of the rods and it was good for the money till it broke flipping a 2 lb bass in the boat

X2 on their spinning reels. I picked one up in Leeville at Bobby Lynn's marina about 7 years ago..I have not used another spinnng reel to this day

I'm looking at getting the Okuma trio spinning reel.

I saw those at Academy, they sure are pretty. I ended up getting a Lew's.

I have the Epixor. Had it for about 7 years. I've used it in the surf many a time and it's been rocked by many a wave. A rinse and squirt of oil and it keeps going strong. The Trio looks nice. Might be my next reel.

I have used the inspira for many years . You are not going to find a better reel in it's price range to stand up to the surf and abuse . like Garfish said, I soak mine in a bucket of fresh water overnight and hit it w/ a little oil and right back in the surf.

all reports seem accurate in supporting my thoughts as well..........

Hear their blue water stuff has stepped up to the task too.

Trios

I have 2 trios in the 55 series and 1 on the 40 series I use those for reds and specs and 3 Cedros in the 80 series I use for snapper mangrove and grouper.
For the price the best reels I have used.
I have fished with several of the high end lever drag and have no complaints.
I had a older bait caster that I did not like but I heard they have come a long way with the bait casters.
