A great time fishing Tuesday & Wednesday with Bobby Toups and his crew. Most of the crew are from out of state and really enjoy what south Louisiana has to offer in regards to fishing. Bobby has been fishing with us for years and most of the trips have been for redfish in the marsh. The guys were in for a treat as Tuesday we had them come in just before noon so we could take advantage of calm seas and get them on some trout for a change. The plan worked like a charm as within 30 minutes of leaving the Lakehouse Lodge they were slinging in fat speckled trout 2 at a time! Capt Travis Lovell and his crew along with mine were done by 3:30 with 225 nice fish. Double rigs did the damage with LSU,Chicken On A Chain and Opening Night Bayou Chubs did the trick in regards to filling both boxes with fish. It was a first for many of the guys as they loved the 2 at a time action! Yesterday we tried it again but getting to our locations offshore were a bust as the water was dirty with 2-3 ft seas. We caught a few trout and made our day in the ponds catching reds. Doug had the big fish of the day with a 9lb red and took all the money. The reds were caught on LSU chubs and spinner baits. The crew had a blast and we look forward to fishing with these guys again soon. I big thank you Bobby as we really appreciate your business. Good luck fishing.
