Went to Henderson yesterday afternoon to join the circus out there! Between the loud noise from airboat tours, go fast boats and rowdy young ones running around w/ music full blast...I had a great trip..dispite all that!

It is a good addiction to have.

It looks like they are getting ready to spawn up here, so I'm hoping to get on a nice mess this weekend.

Nothing like a fish fry of bream and cold beer. I bream fish when I can't get on the bays and gulf. Not a bad second choice!
Good luck and post pics of those mid-western bream! Are your bream as large as ours down here?

I doubt they get as big due to the shorter growing season, but there are still some that are good size. My grandma has an old coal mine strip pit on her property and it holds some real nice gills. One day last year I caught five that ranged from a little over a pound to two pounds, but I didn't have my camera in the boat. Here is a picture of one I caught later in the summer...

It was quite an experience the first time I hooked into a big gill like that. I wasn't really sure what I had on the line.
