I dont know how much rain they got up north but if they got tons its gonna be flushing through their and drive all the salt further south....i think it was almost ready, but i dont know i havent been there in a while...

SaltERedneck 05-14-2012 01:17 PM

water was super high on the river sat... soo expect alot of flush. milky near white oak and west fork wasnt the typical black color it normally is.

Top Dawg 05-14-2012 01:38 PM

Been killin the flounder in prien. We caught a 2 man limit Saturday during the rain. Only few trout here and there but we haven't been targeting trout.

SHORT SHANK 05-14-2012 02:48 PM

I'll prolly wait a couple days then decide where to start. Yall catchin flatties on plastic?

Ray 05-14-2012 03:05 PM

Water has been real clear the past couple of days in Prien area.
I see bait popping all over the place along the channel.

SaltERedneck 05-14-2012 03:10 PM

good to know Ray!

SHORT SHANK 05-14-2012 03:30 PM

Thanks Ray hopefully that freshwater won't run everything out.

Chris.... I don't think it rained enough to drop the salinity very much.

It rained 2" to 4" ? up north but it was mostly a steady rain and much of the water should get soaked up in the ground.

I am thinking about giving the Prien area a try this week.

If anyone fishes Prien before the weekend please post. Trying to convince
my brother that we should go fishing this weekend instead of WORKING at the camp!!!

Gasper Master 05-16-2012 09:28 AM

Be a fricking man, and tell your LITTLE brother you are going fishing. Wait for a windy weekend to go work at the camp, don't waste the good ones.

BassYakR 05-16-2012 10:56 AM

Looks like the salinity is up to bout 6.5 at I-10 so possibly a little
higher in Prien.
