Venice inshore

I am useing the bay boat as well as the offshore one. I ran a few speck and red trips with mixed results. Still learning the inshore thing. Had Rick and Bruce for 1 offshore and 2 inshore days. The first day we hit Breton Island and in 2 hours we have our limit of trout and 2 flounder

The trout were good sized. We only put back 2 shorts. The redfish were not so plentifull but we did get a few. The 50 trout weighed 72 pounds.

The second day we ran to the same spot for a repete. Things changed. The bite was not as hot but the fish were all much larger averaging 18-24 inches. It took us over 4 hours to get 18 trout but they weighed in at 42 pounds.

The word is out. The last time I went to that spot I counted 33 boats. Could not get near the place I wanted to fish so I left and went elsewhere and struggled. It was kind of a good thing because the winds picked up and we were in a flats boat. Kind of wished I had my avenger instead.

Life is Good!
Fishing is not a matter of life or death. It's more important than that.
