Big Lake pier fishing advice needed

Headed to a padnuhs camp Friday night to fish the pier under the lights. If you had to suggest 3 lures to throw, what would it be? We already have white gulp, a couple mirrolures, and a Skitter walk. What else should I scoop up at academy? TIA fellers

anything glow. Gulp baits in glow. Glow tidalsurge maniac mullet. I like the glow tsunami swim shad swim bait for wharf fishing. I like it because it is just throw and go for wharf fishing, just reel in regular and they hammer it for fast and furious wharf fishing. Some of these swim baits tend to not swim right and swim on their side. Tie a new one on.

Sometimes a like to get a few live croaker/mullet to throw out and let sit just past where the lights end. I find thats where the bigger trout and reds hang.

This is the first I hear of this bait.. can I find it at da walmark or academy?

walmart is very limited but have them, doubt glow. Academy carries em, maybe have it there. Lake Charles Tackle definately has all of the colors and styles.

I use white crappie curly tail jigs. I rig em tandem on 30lb. mono. works like a champ. I like em better than the tidal surge swim baits because when the fish tear the bodies up on the swim baits, you have to re-tie. with the crappie jigs and the 30lb mono, you just put on a new tail and keep fishing.

Me and Fool started throwin' Winston Light cigarette butts. Got tired of catchin' 'em on the other stuff. Never seen so many fish in one place in my life.

Mopped up so trout under lights last fall on the 1/8oz trap. Good size when the bait is small.
