Saturday Report

Launched at Calc. point and made it half way to the south end of the lake when we spun the hub on the prop. Since we were near joes we putt putted into there and caught a handful of trout on top. We decided to start limping back north and try to catch a few flounder on the way. Turned out pretty good. We caught our 20 flounder and ended up with 7 trout and 1 redfish and a 3 hour ride back to launch. I have a new spot to flounder fish now.

That is the best "spun prop" day I have ever heard of! Congrats on the salvage of the trip.

This is why I carry a spare prop in my boat. This has saved the day on several hunting and fishing trips.

My retarded friend has a spare prop but it was in his shop. He thought that once he bought his stainless prop that it was indestructible and nothing would ever go wrong. He never even heard of a spun hub. Good thing I was with him or he never would have figured it out.

I know some of the newer larger outboad engine have an "easy" replacable rubber hub. My neighbor was showing me his and how easy it is to replace the hub......a quick fix while on the water.
