primer bulbs

Well I got my fuel issue narrowed down to my primer bulb. I bought an attwood and it lasted all of 2-3 months. I have been reading alot of people having issues with the attwood bulbs.I really hate to pay $20+ for a bulb but I believe im gonna have to. Anybody know what brand bulb they have and wjere they got it. Academy and weat marine are sold out. So is napa so looks like im screwed for a little while.

Stick with a genuine bulb like mercury, quicksilver, yamaha, ect. The aftermarket ones are junk.

I forgot what brand they are but get the blue hose and bulb. Ethanol proof. Best one you can get.

Those blue ones are nice!! They are soft and easy to squeeze and very flexible, they don't kink. I think I got mine at genes marine on hwy 14, think I've seen them at Henderson too.

I'm pretty sure the blue bulbs are Marpac.

LPfishnTIM 06-04-2012 10:15 PM

or seasense, which is as bad as attwood!

I been havin my quick silver bulb now for close to 20 years if not 20. Bought my new boat in 1997 and not sure how many years I had my old boat before that but I have been using the same gas tank that came with my old boat and it came with the quick silver bulb.
