Seared Tuna Steaks!!

Anthony (rigratnomeaux) gave me a big chunk of fresh tuna today so I cut it up into 6 steaks about an inch thick, dusted 4 of them with seasoning's, and seared them in olive oil in my cast iron skillet. The other two got sliced up real thin and dipped in ponzu sauce. I don't know which one was better but they were both frickin amazing to say the least!!!! Attachment 35614
I didn't get a picture of the raw strips because my wife and I tore em up so quick. |

How u like that ponzu ? Sometimes i just Ali to the fridges take a swig off the bottle!!

If you vacuum seal it while it is still really fresh there will be no real loss in quality. I have never let it sit in my freezer longer than about 5-6 months though |

Your actually the reason i tried it because every time someone talks about tuna, you suggetst ponzu. It was awesome to say the least!! Might have to go take shot of it right now lol |

most grocery stores in the asian food section have it but I think it is basically soy sauce, lemon juice and rice wine vinegar mixed together if you cant find it |
