On the way to Grand Isle again.......

Gonna try the surf for a bit, clean the boat for a bit and asses the damage.......really not going to be a fun trip.......

mr crab 06-09-2012 06:45 AM

What damage?

eman 06-09-2012 07:00 AM

The damage to his trailer. After all the searching last weekend he couldn't find the right bearing and race for the trailer. He got one that was close just to get his boat out the water and into storage. Don't know if it did any damage to the spindle or not ?

mr crab 06-09-2012 07:10 AM

Oh, I thought it was a done deal. But still a great excuse to get back to G.I.

Dink 06-09-2012 07:42 AM

I forgot one very important element to my equation.......the bearings are on the island in my kitchen......not the island under my feet.......

On a side note. The 5lb of pogies that were left in the fish box are almost all eaten. Maybe next week the smell wont be so bad.......

Top Dawg 06-09-2012 07:46 AM

I've been there on the pogie situation. They never stop stinkin!

T-Bone 06-09-2012 07:59 AM

Good luck with your surf fishin, maybe it will ease the pain a bit. Hope the issues with your trailer work out and you get back on the road.

Ouch @ the pogies

swamp snorkler 06-09-2012 09:01 AM

You probably would have been better off getting a whole new axle.

Sorry for your bad luck.

Dink 06-09-2012 09:08 AM

The gulf is angry. I'm heading home

mr crab 06-09-2012 09:39 AM

Good eats right there. I went to the first dam past the game warden camp at Marsh Island yesterday and managed to catch 82 crabs on hand lines from 8 til noon. They sure ate good. Did you get the boat home safe?

Dink 06-09-2012 09:48 PM

Boat stays in the boat shed in G.I. for the summer. We dont go anywhere else. We will be down there again next weekend.i just went to check things out and pull traps.
