Big Lake 6/24
2 Attachment(s)
Made my first Big Lake trip of the year today with friends DWA and drenalin junkie. Targeted reds and found them in our usual spots south of Texaco cut. Picked up a 3 man limit, a couple of flatties and a saltwater Gou. Didn't really spend any time looking for specks but DWA stuck this really solid 25". Sorry we didn't "weight" it. I'm guessing 5lb. Great day with friends and nice to be back on the water. Doing it again next Saturday with my son. By the way the water was gorgeous everywhere but really high.

It's an Xpress HD20, gets really shallow, but you will take a pounding in any kind of chop

Meaning if it's a light chop it Wundt be able to handle it? Cux I'm into looking for a xpress center console and wanted to see who thinks it wud worth having it but I want to see if it can handle light to med chops if I have to run across open water to get to some spots

It can handle the chop, but its a very uncomfortable ride. Look into the hyperlift Xpress hull, huge difference.

Was the hyperlift not available when you bought yours? I'm also looking at xpress CC, the prices are really nice.

Great box shot!
|
I got the boat in 2004, and I don't think the hyper lift was out yet. I got that because I can haul my 4-wheeler to the camp easily in it. Very comfortable to fish in, but when it gets rough I know my limits.
