60 mostly on artifical. I had the site moderators with me, great fishing with great company. Nothing with any size, all 13 to 18 with a 20 or two mixed in towards the bottom.

At least 80% were caught on artificial. Casey and Jude hammered them on Mirrodine and me and Sul picked up the slack with glo plastics...It was a fun night with great company.

All of the trout Jude and I caught other than maybe 3 were on artifical hard baits. Craig caught probably half of his on soft plastic and the rest on shrimp and he switched over the art fairly early. Daniel caught all of his but one on shrimp. He was doing well early but got sick (headaches). I would say 70/30 Art.... I know for sure the last 30 were all Art becuase all of the people fishing gave up on the crickets by the time we hit 30. I have no desire to throw the crickets unless I have to. If I can get a fish every three cast on an art bait or every cast on shrimp I will take my one of our three. Now if the guy next to me is catching every cast and I am zero for the last 15 minutes, then I will make the change.

Salty you should make us a catch 2000 custom night bait. I can even use it over at little Fla. Oh and I have tried to get you to come fishing at least 40 times.

Chicken, is that about the size fish you catch at night...on average? I ain't dissin' the size...just wonderin'. I guess different reefs hold different-sized fish just like in the daytime? Do you go to the same place every time? Do you drift...anchor?

Different places, this particular reef holds mostly 13-19 inch fish at night. Where I fished on Friday night had several 20 plus inch fish mixed in which as you can see in that report was a better picture. There are a couple of places on average that I know have 6lb plus trout at night but when the wind starts kicking after 6:00 like it usually does I can only get where I can get.

Send the baits to me and I'll do 'em. I can't get Mirr-O-Lure blanks. Lucas is fixin' to doll up some hooks for me. They'll work great on Mirr-O-Lure sinkers.

The "20 plus inch" reef sounds good to me. How about the weekend of July 20?

It really all depends on the wind, the "dink trout" reef might be the only thing we can fish. There were points last year when the wind would blow 30 knots when they called for 15. All I could do was hide in a few pockets in the channel. Not exactly great fishing.
