Drainage Problem

I recently purchesed a few acres of land and been fighting some drainage problems since day one. The property holds water one one side because me neighbors land is a little higher than mine and i catch all his run off and theres no ditch between us. I need somebody to come put me in a ditch between his property and mine and was wondering if anyone on here does dirt work or can reccomend someone who does preferably in the lafayette area. The ditch will be approx. 835 ft. long. Can someone also give me a ballpark figure of what this may cost??

Cost would depend on how much [how deep] digging is deeded. Also would depend on how wide you want the ditch dug.

Also, is the dirt take out to dig the ditch going to be left along side of the ditch or do you want the dirt hauled back to the low area to help fill it in some?

I would like it about 6 ft wide so i can cut in it when its dry and i would keep the dirt to fill in the low spots.
