Gone Pecan rodeo acadiana Marina - Places to fish?
 

I was thinking of going to the Gone Pecan Fishing rodeo on Aug 24-25th at Acadiana Marina. And, by the way, this is for a very good cause. But after looking at the map, I'm not sure where to fish other than the gulf of mexico. You guy's have any idea's where to fish other than the gulf (for this rodeo) located around Acadiana Marina? Looks like you have to launch from Acadiana Marina. Here's where the acadiana marina is located http://acadianamarina.com/

I guess you could hit the gulf then high tail it to Rollover or Joseph's Harbor?? thats pretty much the only 2 places i know of in that area...

I may be reading too much into the rules, but I think you have to launch over there. Rules are here http://gonepecan.org/about/ .

sounds like you have to have your boat and or vehicle on grounds and notify of any fish to be weighed in before 630 pm. you can launch from anywhere

You can launch from anywhere, just at weigh in by 6:30
