Lightning Strike at SC tourney

Had to wash my underpants 3 times after that. Closest I have ever been, the smoke afterwards was a crazy sight to see :-)

We were stuck in it in the middle of the gulf. Really sucks when you have no Place to hide. And it makes a different sound out there with no land to muffle the thunder. It's like you can hear the atmosphere shake. Kinda erie.

I was under at the store and crapped my pants also. I was looking for somewhere to run but had no where to go! I looked like a lily girl

Chuck Norris said he uses lighting to light his cigar

DUCKGOGETTER 08-06-2012 10:17 AM

I had to leave before that weather hit, and i'm glad

wtretrievers 08-06-2012 10:18 AM

I think the electricity stunned his central nervous system & he couldn't move!

I seen lighting close as in 75-80 yards but 10 yards is just a tad to close for me!:shaking:

It's funny now but that could have been bad!!!!

They had two teenage boys fishing with their grandfather out there. One of the boys keep walking out in the rain and his grandfather kept telling him to get out of it. About 30 seconds before the famous lightning strike his line got hung up on that marker. If his grandpaw hadn't made him leave it I think the outcome would've been different.

I imagine there's a brown streak from the wharf to where the tents where still from me.

The little boy from Delcambre is still in the hospital after being struck by lightening while in Orange Beach back in the beginning of June
