Working in Lake Charles

Whats up guys!? My company got about a 2 year gig in lake Charles and I figured I could let y'all know. I'm hoping that some of y'all would be looking for a fishing partner in the afternoons as we get off at 4:30 and we are 2 minutes from cal point. I plan on bringing my rod, and I don't mind paying my way into the boat. Some of y'all may not know me, but I fish every weekend and every chance I get in between, so I'm not inexperienced by any means. Sure would appreciate it fellas, thanks

By the way my number is 3376924320 an my name is Jeremy. Feel free to text

My guess would be Tallen, the dry dock place or the LNG plant. Nothing else I know of is within 2 minutes.;)

I'll agree with Alcoa and Shaw, Calcasieu Refining is more like 3 or 4 minutes away from Calcasieu Point. ;)

Jeremy, when does the work kick off?

If I'm off, we can make a few trips. No problem!

Lucky dog!

Work has kicked off already and we are working on the DII yard. We, Fenstermaker, will providing dimensional control for the construction of modules that will be going on two 800' ships that will be used in the case of another big oil spill. It seems that many large oil companies got together and formed a company known as Marine Well Containment and they are funding the cost of this multibillion dollar project. Pretty cool stuff!

PaulMyers 08-15-2012 08:58 AM

Great!

Sounds like the same way MSRC came about.

DII is located between Tallen and the Dry Dock, isn't it? Or is DII the dry dock facility? Anyway, I'm sure we can make a few trip on the lake starting next week.

DII is the yard the right as you turn down Henry Pugh going to the landing.

That's what I'm calling the dry dock.

Jpeff, I would strongly consider finding someone else besides Paul to go fishing with. He seems to have a "black cloud" over him in regards to fishing.:grinpimp:

J/K

Paul is a good guy. I am always up for a fishing trip also.

Lol! Poor Paul ... Paul put it to me one trip when we were throwing live shrimp m corks. I had no idea hook them boogers through the head without killing them. So I guess live bait under a cork works better than dead bait! Lol ;)
