Legal gun length?
 

I have an old H&R Topper 20 gauge that I would like to cut down. I'm not trying to make an illegal sawed off, I want to cut it down to mount it on my lawn mower as a snake charmer. I know there are limits on how short it can be and I dont want to get arrested while cutting grass! How short can the barrel be and what is the minimum overall length? Also, if anybody has any ideas on mounting it on a zero turn I'd appreciate it.

i think it's 18.5" for minimum barrel length.

Any shorter and u have to apply for a permit and a bunch of other bs.

The gun has a 26 in barrel and the stick has been cut to fit a kid. The overall length is 36 inches. I saw they make a pistol grip for it for about $20. I'm just looking for a cheap and LEGAL solution to make it easy to manage on the mower.

just make sure its 18" and you should be fine...gonna look like terminator out there lol

Haha! The only thing swoll on me is my stomach!!

If the stock has been altered (Shortened), the overall length must be 26", in addition to the barrel being 18"
