Boat flipped at wiers

Anyone else hear bout this. Buddy of mine was headed out there Thursday and said when he got there a boat was flipped and pinned against the wiers on the inside. They had people trapped inside and didn't get out until 11 pm that night when the tide switched! That would suck!

Bluechip 08-26-2012 09:22 PM

Wow....that's bad news. I bet the skeeters were eating that butt up.

Top Dawg 08-26-2012 09:23 PM

My cousin said he talked to a guy today that was back there Said he got ate to pieces!

Bluechip 08-26-2012 09:25 PM

Was it a smaller aluminum boat that flipped?

Yes this is true....... Another victim of "da weirs "

Top Dawg 08-26-2012 09:34 PM

I think it was an aluminum but I'm not positive.

That's why people should have a license and experince to opeterate a boat

Bluechip 08-26-2012 09:45 PM

Things can get sketchy when that current is ripping through there.

Hopefully no one was injured other than their pride being hurt.

No I've just seen to many people get in trouble there that could have been avoided if they knew joe to control a boat.

Licenses are required these days, but not for the older guys.

LPfishnTIM 08-26-2012 10:40 PM

more enforcement! we need another license to operate something. dude get a life! I was pissed I had to sit in a class for a few hours for the dang boat safety course, which is a joke because I've never been stopped and checked for a boaters safety card ever! and I get stopped and checked all the time for boat reg. fishing license, my catch. but never for the boater safety card.

fishnla 08-27-2012 03:16 AM

That sucks hope everyone was ok.
