XMark - on last leg!
 

The diagnosis is not good! Just got word that my old trusty XMark mower is on it's last leg. Seems the engine is shot and will need to be replaced/rebuilt. Due to the age/hours on the mower, I am going to buy a new one. Everything still works, deck, hydraulic unit, steering, etc. - just can't see spending a bunch of money on it and hoping that a pump doesn't go out in the next year. If anyone on here knows someone good with engines and wants to take it for a project rebuild or wants it to part out, please let me know. I will post pics of it tonight when I get home and I will take $400 for it. It is the commercial 44" model called the LaserZ and has a Kohler engine.

What size motor does it have?

a 23 kohler i could put on it

It has a 18hp Kohler COMMAND on it now and still runs, just no power. No leaks on hydraulic side.

honesty it wouldnt cost much to rebuild unless you have a cracked block. if its just sleeves and rings you could do it yourself for under 500.

I have a vertical shaft Kohler that is on a John Deere lawn mower. Not sure the HP but if it is what you need you can have it. I can check on HP tonight

I have had several PM's on this. I will respond to them in order they were recieved. Exmark dealer (Congress Outdoor in Lafayette) placed a $500 dollar value on the unit due to age/hours. I am selling it here to SC members for $400.

Not interested in starting another project of rebuilding this one, but thanks anyway. I will be getting a new mower and just want this one gone to make room in my shop.
