Need roofers

Anyone know of some good roofers in the lake Charles area. I'm taking bids. Thanks.

I would be interested to find out what information you find out.

I will probably be putting on a new roof in the next year. The wife is starting to talk about how bad or roof looks and that a new roof would make our house look so much better.

I am trying to put that expence off for another year or 2. If it ain't broke [leaking], why fix it.

I'm building a new house so we are playing that game.

I got a quote of $29 a square and I have a crazy roof line.... same guy that did Eric's, Jose Martinez if you want his number

Do you have a builder, or or you doing it yourself? Meaning your own GC. Wife and I are exploring debating buy a newer, bigger home or build. Wanting to find out work of mouth good builders.

Wow, that's kind of low. Is that labor only?

As I remember that's labor only, he bid framing, roof, granite, sheetrock, brick, paint and doing trim. I believe he only bid material and labor for sheetrock and the paint work.... I am starting Monday in Moss Bluff if you want to come look at his work at anytime

Hey give me a call tomorrow. Ask Eric for the number. We need to talk and compare notes.

I'd try to stay away from the "ill sheetrock, frame, roof, stucco, paint...... Ect type guys " aka labor pimps

fishinpox 09-26-2012 10:44 PM

They usually don't have full time crews and are willing to do job for any price then they go find labor to match price they gave u even if its a roofer they hire to do sheetrock. No supervision , usually fake insurance certificates ... I've seen it all . I pay 35/ sq labor n shingles n I'm a contractor ! 29/ sq something is fishy

This is a guy that's been local for atleast 20yrs and has done a lot of work in our area including building for other builders so I fill pretty confident with him and his crew but I know what you are talking about with some of the crews that do this work being unqualified and doing crappy work.
