Met Congressman Jeff Landry

I met Jeff Landry tonight at the Westlake DU banquet. Had a few minutes to discuss politics and he was a very nice guy. Was leaning towards him anyway and he sealed the deal. He even bought a couple items at our banquet.

He's "FIGHTING" for us in Washington! While DU is "FIGHTING" for us in the Breeding Grounds!

Ha! That's some good ones!

On a more serious note, I went to high school w/ Jeff and we both worked at SMSO while attending college. He went on to law school and I went to a career in emergency services. One thing I have to say is that Jeff is who he says he is. If you are looking for a hard nose conservative, he's your man. This whole redistricting thing that has taken a seat from us really sucks, but I look at it like this:

If we are going to loose a vote, I want to keep one that will always represent me. I am supporting Jeff in his bid, and even have a yard sign in my yard, but I really don't like politicians, or lawyers. But I know, he will be our best choice! My most important factor in this election is the fact that Jeff wants a balanced budget amendment. To me, we have to do it, have to make it happen, and the time is now. I know the leaches of America won't want it, because they stand to loose so much, but without it - we will never again be a strong America. Bostany will never vote for that because of his alliances, so of the 2 - that is my sales pitch for Jeff.

"I really don't like politicians, or lawyers"

That's a pretty generalized statement.

Maybe....................but I really don't like politicians or lawyers. Anytime their lips are moving, they are lying! LOL!

I make my statements in a joking sense, mostly. I have friends that are lawyers, just don't agree with their thought process sometimes. Dang, even lawyers I work with tee me off! Seems they always make things harder than they need to be..............sort of the same w/ politicians!

I hear ya, but don't take offense when the public generalizes police officers as power hungry over the top etc...
Every profession has its bad apples.

Man, it's going to be one bloody race.

If you would have asked me during August of last year, I would have told you I was going to vote for Boustany. By the time this past August came around, I had changed my mind.

I have friends on both sides, though, so it makes it tough.

thats the problem.. :(

Hebert 10-13-2012 07:43 PM

but as far as Jeff Landry....he has my vote....but he really needs to counter Boustany's radio commercial that I hear on Kbon 101 that says he wants to raise taxes....its definitely a hit piece but he needs to respond to it...people will believe it.
