Reds and Trout!

Not the best of days weather wise but Charlie Graml, Andrew and Russ were not going to be denied. The front blasted through the area with stiff north winds and we had to find protected areas to fish. LSU Bayou Chubs and Bunker swimbaits did the damage way deep in the marsh. Great to see the fish setting up for their winter pattern already. We had some bad luck as the guys lost 6-7 reds before we could get them to my 8 ft net. We did find some nice 14-15 in. trout and had everyone in the boat slinging them in. We were catching trout on the bunker swim baits in only 2 ft of water but the reds were sluggish today. Final tally was 40 trout,7 reds,2 flounder,1 drum and a sheepshead. Good luck fishing.
