Repowering my boat?

Ive been thinking of upgrading my 225 suzuki to a 250. only problem is that I can not find any other used motors like mine to try and get a price from. I'm wanting to make someone a deal but im not looking to give it away. I called lake area, new price for a 225 without controls is 16,300 after taxes. It a 2010 and I still have 4 years of warranty left on it. What would be a fair price and if anyone my be interested send me a PM. Sorry this is the only picture I have at the time.

Can you trade it in at the dealer? Or would you get the shaft?

Why would you waste your money to upgrade only 25 hp???

My 250 Suzuki went down last year, barely out of warranty. $8900 to repair. Repowered with 225 pro xs instead of repairing.

Thats all I care about. I get way more fired up when a spoon flies by than when trout are bustin all around my boat. And Im trying to upgrade to a 250ss.

Ive thought about that. But cant do anything until I get rid of this one.

I love mine. I don't know if you have ridden in a boat with one yet, but you can come for a ride next time you are at the dock. You will probably see similar, most likely better performance with it on your Haynie than my BlackJack. I'm very happy with the fuel bill too. It's way better than I expected
