This displays the benefit of teaching and educating your children to respect and properly handle a firearm.
Per the follow up story on the intruder, that young girl saved herself from abduction and whatever else the intruder had planned. |

That's awesome! I don't think leaving a 12 year at the house alone is awesome, but at least the parents taught her right!

I grew up up that way and, as country bumpkins, we often stayed home alone younger than that so, I guess I see it differently.
