sound bar vs surround sound system?
 

I want to purchase a sound system for the living room. currently im looking at the sound bars, but dont know much a bout them do any of you guys have a sound bar, How do you like it? what about those that have the surround sound system. planning to spend about $300

Get a Bose
I got the 2 speaker with a sub system.
Plenty of sound.
I've never gone above half volume ;it's loud.
Games are more fun to watch; movies are more intense and for playin music it's crystal clear.
The Bose sound bar is bad *** too; but like 1200$

Got an LG soundbar. Sounds great! Little more than you're looking to spend. Wireless sub behind the couch is a nice feature! Plus, no hanging speakers and running wires all over the place. Another cool thing is I play music thru it from my phone using bluetooth.......its cool!

I have wireless surround sound and I hate it. Every time someone walks in front the transmitter it cuts out.

Just put in a Samsung soundbar and its pretty cool. Wireless sub is sweet. I think it was $379 at Best Buy

We went cheap in the sound bar and I absolutely hate it. $100 Phillips sound bar and sub. It's a piece. Spend the money for a nice set up.

Did you get one yet? There is one on groupon today 60% off. Regular $500. It's a haier. It has good reviews. I'm thinking about ordering one. It comes with a wireless subwoofer.

I have the $99 vizio sound bar from sams club. Bought the display when i bought my 46" flatscreen. Badass sound bar. only turn it on #4 and its almost too loud.

We splurged and got the Samsung 60 smart tv. Wife fell in love with it at best buy. Me personally I almost threw up spending 3 grand for a tv. Naturally we got the sound bar for it and it sounds great. Best buy was offering free Samsung sound bars with it at the time. It was the one for 379.00. Sounds great.

I want one of them so bad! I have a Samsung now that tv and fridge that put a bad taste in my mouth. I looked at them and they are bad to the bone though.

Just got the Samsung 55" smart TV. The internet feature is great! But the mouse remote kinda sucks. Its not sensative enough. Or I havent figured out how to use it correctly??? Picture so clear it makes me nauseous sometimes. Was $2200 but they do price matching. Found an online price on my phone while talking to tge guy of 1790$ and the honored it! Money well spent??? IDK, but I sure like looking at it!!

Forgot......3D is cool! And so is facetime and skype!! I talk to folks all the time thru the TV, its like the future!!!

Use a cheap wireless mouse and you will be happier. My wife uses the camera on the tv a lot for Skype with relatives out of state and the kids like it as well. The 3d is killer with 3d bluray. We paid the extra for best buy to come out a month after and fine tune it. Best money spent on it.people are amazed how clear it is. My wife now wants one for the living room. I can't argue as I think she found fishing receipts. I knew this would happen one day. Haha

Decided to wait and see what the prices will be like after thanksgiving.

Just got the Samsung 280 watt 2.1 channel with wireless sub for $179 at hh Gregg online. It was regular $299. Door bustin baby!!

Buy the onkyo 5.1 surround system. I have the 7.1 and does everything that I need it to do.
