Ill be there next week the tuna been there? R at mars

Ray 10-25-2012 08:13 PM

There are Tuna all over that area.
Mars and Ursa are just 6.5 miles from each other.
There is also a drillship about 1 mile from Mars.
And the ATP Titan is about 8 miles South of Ursa.

The Tuna don't sit close to the platforms, till night time.
Then they ease under the lights.
During the day, we see them busting the water about a mile or two from the platform.

The are filter feeders. Eat microorganisms, shrimp larvae, etc.

Cool. I worked offshore for about 6 years and never saw one.

There is some around Ursa every year during the summer. And some big Manta Rays too.
