Reds And Trout!

On Friday, November 2 we had Larry Isabel from Florida,Chris Lapeyre & crew,Barry Bieber & Fly,and Jonathan Windley and his son Tucker fish with us! We had 5 boats on the water with over 425 trout and some good boxes of redfish too. The weather was perfect and the fish responded with full or near limits for all the boats. I fished with Jonathan & Tucker Windley from Arkansas. We started our morning off in a thick sea of fog and picked up 20 nice 15-18inch trout at our first stop. I was using a bunker swim bait while Jon and Tuck were slamming the trout on LSU chubs. Made a second move in the fog as Capt Ricky called and said the trout were attackiing his crew and needed help! It is a rare occasion that I will leave biting fish but the action was fast & furious where Ricky was at his location. We arrived to find the crew on the big Triton slinging in trout from every direction so we settled in and immediately starting slinging in 15-18inch trout of our own. The trout were hungry and mean and slamming our offerings of LSU and Chicken On A Chain chubs on every cast! My son Chris was nearby and I called him over and they whacked their 50 trout in less than an hour. Jonathan said it was the best box of trout he had seen in quite a while. We finished up our 75 fish limit by 8:15 leaving Capt Ricky and his crew who finished up with their 100 fish shortly after. Both boats enjoyed a great redfish bite afterwards as the DU is on fire right now! Tucker had never caught a redfish and he started off with a big brute weighing in over 10 lbs. They caught a 22 lb redfish and many others in the 7,8,and 9lb range. Capt Ricky added another 15 reds to his catch. It was a great day to be fishing in lower Terrebonne parish. Good luck fishing.
