Bay St louis yak trip

5 Attachment(s)
Headed east to Bay St Louis for a couple days fishing to avoid the crowds in V-bay and BL. Lots of marsh to explore in a yak without much pressure if your willing to get off the beaten path.
Fished east side of Bay between Hwy90 and I-10. You only need freshwater license N of 90. Water was crystal clear in the upper marsh.
Friday afternoon caught lots of nice trout and finished with a limit, few bass mixed in.
Saturday morning with the thick fog I stayed in very shallow marsh out of boat traffic and sight fished reds. Fog got so thick I could not see my bait hit the water on a long cast. Redfish limit in MS 18"X3, trout 13"X15.
Caught all fish on Old Bayside 3 3/4" glow minnow on 1/4 oz jig.
Very cheap hotel rates this time of year especially of week days.
