Specks that is! Everyone always says mojos flares specks but I figured out easy way without buying remote. Attachment 42477

I'm surprised it works with that lil battery over all that wire. But either way, thumbs up.

bgizzle 11-06-2012 10:57 PM

It does I thought the same but tried it n it works great

If the mojo is flaring em, hard wire the sob to 100 ft of bright orange cord so you can unplug it from the blind!

I hunt ducks too. Ppl say that. The ext coord won't show at all. Underground.

Top Dawg 11-06-2012 11:48 PM

U don't have to have a mojo to kill ducks :)

I rigged up a toggle switch to a waterproof electrical cord like that. I think I had about 100'. You want to make sure to get a chord that is only as short as you need and a gauge wire that doesn't cause your battery to wear quick (thinner gauge wire)......You will see what I am talking about real quick. Those batteries don't last long when you ask them to run through 100' of extension chord wire to complete a circuit. Just takes a lot of juice.

Maybe an electrician could comment, and I could learn something, but those batteries don't last near as long running through that chord and here is why I think that is the case.

All I remember is E =I*R from a home an electronics course I took. R = resistance, and with that long chord and large gauge wire Resistance goes up. Therefore as R goes up you get less voltage (E)

I tried the remotes too....They don't seem to work outside of about 50 foot. Also, if the receiver gets wet they are caput. I went through 3 of them in 2 years. I am a little tired of that.

You probably could have acheived the same thing with smaller gauge wire.

This sounds like a bunch of work, where a little bit of extra grass, and some good calling would be more than sufficient.

Can a guy just be excited about rigging his decoy without catching a bunch of trash.

me too, but i guess if you use a mojo you don't know how to duck hunt in some peoples eyes.

T-TOP 11-07-2012 11:05 AM

i know some guys that hunt for a living... hunt every day. have 3 and 4 mojos in each pond, hard wired to their blinds. car battery wired to some toggle swithes. i don't personally own a mojo, but there swear by them...

SULPHITE 11-07-2012 11:11 AM
