Dispatching Ducks/Geese with a 22LR?
I got into a argument with a guy at work the other day. I have never herd this before but he says it's legal to dispatch wounded birds with a 22LR. is this true?

I have no idea about the legality but why not just wring its neck? Also there is a danger of a 22 or any rifle round deflecting off of the water and becoming a hazard to others.

No person shall take migratory game birds: with a trap, snare, net, rifle, pistol, swivel gun, shotgun larger than 10 gauge, punt gun, battery gun, machine gun, fish hook, poison, drug, explosive, or stupefying substance.
