Hello guys, I was wondering if fishing was somewhat good during the winter for Vbay? or do you recommend me winterize the boat for the winter
Any input well be great thanks

The bay is not over yet, just give it a few days after the fronts

Should I winterize it say during Jan or ppl still fish year round?

There are fish to be caught year round if you want em.

If you want to fish year round you can catch fish, maybe not in the bay but big lake usually stays pretty good and the bass fishing has been really good the past two winters

You don't need to winterize your boat in South LA. You can use it year round.

Redfish can be caught in vbay year round,the cold and muddy water don't bother them like trout. Even if you didn't fish much no need to winterize your motor in louisiana. It does not stay cold for 6 months like other states. But if we get some nights of hard freezes make sure you trim your motor all the way down to keep any water out the lower unit. The water can freeze and expand inside the lower unit and crack the housing. Other than that you will be fine.
