Tell Your Kids that You Love Them....

Just got back from the scene of a car wreck my son was involved in....By the time I got there I was just in time to see them slide him into the back of the ambulance and haul him to the hospital....

The only reason he couldn't see the tears in my eyes was because I kept my sunglasses on....WOW...too much excitement..A few people were bumped and bruised but it looks as if everyone is going to be OK...

I have a son and daughter and plan on both of them out living me. I'm home with the grandbaby now while his mom and the rest of the family are with him at the hospital and all reports are good.....

It's been a while since I told him I love him....At 17 seems like we do more arguing than getting along and thats fine but after we argue I'm still going to let him know I Love Him.....

Hope he gets well soon!!

Thank God he is ok. As a parent now also, I truly understand what they mean when they say a "parent's worst nightmare."

Being manly and proud should never get in the way of our inner thoughts/feelings and our children. Thanks for the lesson.

Again, I'm glad he's gonna be ok.

wow Craig, so sorry to hear about this.

my prayers are with you, your boy, and the family

RaginCagin 10-09-2009 03:10 PM

Glad he is ok. I have a 4 and 1 year old and catch myself fussing them often over things that really are no big deal. I dont realize this until I read about a kid that died or one that has a terminal illness. Things like that really put things in perspective and make the problems in my ordinary life seem pretty petty.

Car accidents scare that you know what out of me now that i have kids. You try to do everything in your power to protect them from harm but some things you have no control over.

I hope your son heals up soon.

BC,

good to here all is good.

i as well know that sinking feeling, though good now there's nothing like a knock at the door by a cop asking if your the parents of , and telling you that you need to get to the hospital asap

swamp snorkler 10-09-2009 05:12 PM

Glad to hear he's fine, Every morning before I leave work I tell my wife and kids that I love them and before they go to bed also.

ShadMan 10-09-2009 05:30 PM

Glad he's going to be OK!

Having lost a child, I learned two things...one is what you said, hug them every chance you get and don't let petty arguments get in the way. The other is that it CAN happen to you, in the blink of an eye.

Mediumheavyaction6'6 10-09-2009 05:41 PM

Glad to hear everything is ok. I was in a car accident when I was that age, it made me realize just how precious life really is. If nothing else you and your son may get closer than you were before.
