Yearly Flounder Expedition

1 Attachment(s)
Step dad arrived in town last Sunday 18th, for a Thanksgiving Fishing Fest. Caught abundant Reds, and fair amount of Trout from the Tee Butte - Grand Chenier area of SW La.

Friday 11/23 went to the Cameron Ship Channel to catch some Flounder after confirming that the bite was still on, by one of the SC Members. Poooo...the boats were everywhere. Launched on the East Side by the jetties and made a quick trip to Jetties to see if any trout where there. We couldn't find any, Ran up the the Ship Channel and estimated 300 waders and 250 boats and didn't detect a single bent rod.

I could write a "blow by blow" account but bottom line, the flounder wanted live bait. We didn't have any. Finally cast netted some Pogies late in the afternoon, and proceeded to catch 8 Flounder and lost another easy 15 at the boat. Attached file is of happy Step Dad.

Glad you figured out what the Flounder wanted that day in the ship channel.
